According to the results of the second national sample survey of the handicapped, there are about 12.33 million visually impaired people in China, which include about 7.33 million low vision patients. The number of visually impaired people shows an annual increase of about 1.35 million. On average, 3 new people become low vision patients in 1 minute. Therefore, paying attention to low vision and improving the quality of low vision rehabilitation admit no delay.

In order to promote the exchanges of the trends and research results of low vision rehabilitation at home and abroad as well as the latest applications of visual impairment aids, and advance the "13th five-year plan" on low vision rehabilitation, CR Expo 2019 will hold the 10th International Low Vision Rehabilitation Forum. Professionals from different provinces and cities’ rehabilitation departments of disabled persons’ federations, rehabilitation centers for persons with disabilities, assistive device centers for persons with disabilities, and ophthalmology (low vision) departments in the health sector are invited to attend the forum and submit articles.
